Eligibility Requirements
To apply, you must:
- Be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university (undergraduate or graduate)
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Submit all required materials by the deadline
How to Apply

- Your essay — A 800-1,200 word essay on the topic below
- Proof of enrollment — Unofficial transcript or enrollment verification letter
- Contact information — Full name, university, major, expected graduation date
Essay Topic
"What is the biggest challenge students face in academic writing today, and how can it be solved?"
Your essay should:
- Identify a specific challenge (e.g., AI plagiarism, citation complexity, writing anxiety, language barriers)
- Explain why this challenge is significant, with evidence or personal experience
- Propose a practical solution that students, universities, or tools could implement
- Be original work — we use plagiarism detection software
Judging Criteria
Essays will be evaluated on:
- Clarity and organization (30%) — Is the argument easy to follow?
- Originality of insight (25%) — Does the essay offer a fresh perspective?
- Evidence and reasoning (25%) — Are claims supported by examples or data?
- Writing quality (20%) — Grammar, style, and academic tone
Past Winners
Our scholarship program is new for 2026. The first winner will be announced January 2027.

- One entry per student
- The winning essay may be published on AcademicTuning.com with the author's name and university
- The scholarship award will be paid directly to the student
